Eleanor Rigby is a song of the Beatles that I love. It appears in the movie "Yellow Submarine" and it talks about a woman called Eleanor Rigby, who's thinking about all the lonely people. The name of Eleanor Rigby has a curious story. Paul had as a objective a name for one song that would be publicated in the next album of the band, Revolver. At first he took the first name, Eleanor, because the name of the actrice Eleanor Born, and after the name of Rigby, for a shop of Bristol.
Paul was very suprised when he saw the name of Eleanor Rigby in a tomb, in the cementery of Woolton. It appeared too the name of McKenzie, who in the song is the priest of the church when the story happens.
The song caught my atention because it's very strange. The Beatles normally played happy songs which talked about love. The style and the lyrics were different...
I guess that this song impressed me because I'm like Eleanor Rigby in some aspects. Since always I have been in my own world seeing the outside without understand the most of things. I always have been asking about the people: who are, where are they going, what are their destiny?
Apart from that, the melody is incredible. It makes me dream... it's very powerful and melancolic at the same time! I don't know how the Beatles could do that.. but they were very incredible...
On Easter Holidays (On Wednesday) I went to the Rock’s museum in Les Arenes (Barcelona) with my friends. It was incredible. I want to live into “Beatles Room”. I was looking all the objects that are there; guitars signed by Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, … and my friend Pau said to me: turn around. I did it, and I saw my paradise: the Beatles Room. There were a lot of things of them: guitars, clothes, posters,… a lot of things that they signed and that they have touched. Moreover, there was a big screen with videos of them. Really, I WANT TO LIVE THERE! John, Paul, Ringo and George are very nices :3
There were the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen and National Rock rooms. Then, there were a lot of things about other musicians and bands, as AC/DC, Metallica, Jimi Hendrix,… a wonderful place for who loves good music.
There, you could make “xapes” I made it about the Beatles! My friends made a lot too. We became friends of the workes of the museum. They said to us that if we wanted to go there again at the afternoon, they’ll let enter free. They are very kind!
We stayed about 2 hours in the museum, and after we went to have lunch at Burger King. Then, we went to FNAC, and we bought some things. I bought one CD of the Beatles, and two movies: Batman Returns and The Phantom of the Opera.
In the FNAC, there were pianos and guitars to prove, and we stayed there playing instruments. Then, we walked for Barcelona, and finally we went to the train to came home, so we had to say goodbye to Victor.
Bon Jovi is one of my favorites bands. I'm happy because on 27th July I'll go there with Aura, Varela and Pau. It will be legendary! I prefer the old songs than the new, but well. Moreover, Jon Bon Jovi was so hot with long hair!!! ♥ In my opinion he has to let his hair grow up again... It would be great.
Now I'm going to translate only one of their songs, because otherwise I would die. But I think that all them are incredible, I love them!
It's hard to choose a song... but finally I'm going to translate "Happy Now". This song is very special for me. It reflects very well my thoughts... Pau show to me this song, because I didn't listen it before, so thank you my little racoon!
